Lin Wang

Research Interests:  machine learning, data mining and their applications in scientific computing.

Lin Wang received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the School of Computer Science and Technology, Shandong University, China, in 2011. He is currently a Professor at the School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, China, and at the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Network Based Intelligent Computing, University of Jinan, China. He serves as a Director for the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education China (SIGCSE China), Secretary-General of ACM Jinan Chapter, Vice Secretary-General of the Shandong Artificial Intelligence Society, a Committee Member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, a Committee Member of the Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Committee of the China Computer Federation, an Executive Director of the ShanDong Association of Artificial Intelligence, and a Member of the Higher Education Committee of the ShanDong Association of Artificial Intelligence. He is a Program Committee Member or Special Session Chair of many international conferences, e.g. AAAI, SPAC, ICONIP, SIGCSE China, and IEEE PICom. He is the Winner of the ACM Jinan Rising Star Award, Winner of the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Academic Innovation Award. He has been granted the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, granted the Taishan Scholar Project of Shandong Province, China, granted the Outstanding Graduate Supervisor of Shandong Province, and granted Provincial University Excellent Young Scientists Foundation of Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation.
